EVA 6 Report

Jim Crowell Reporting

Crew Members: Nathan Wong, Judah Epstein, Amanda Damptz, Jim Crowell

Site Location: North of Hab, along the main road

Transit Mode: ATVs

Objectives: Recon for Nathan's experiment

Results: Four ATVs were taken, one broke shortly after leaving the Hab, so Judah returned to the Hab with the broken one. Nathan, Amanda, and Jim continued on with the EVA. Nathan's radio malfunctioned. A good location was found for Nathan's collection on a separate EVA. Also, a good location for collection for Jim's experiment was also found. Failure of Amanda's respiratory tubes required return to the Hab.

Lessons Learned: Double check ATVs, radios, and suits before the EVA begins to ensure they are all operational and functioning properly.
