Commander's Report
Judah Epstein Reporting
Although today was the scheduled rest day, the crew was busy with EVAs and continuation of science experiments.
The morning EVA consisted of searching for the MDRS Geocache. Unfortunately the geocache was not found and it was determined that the given coordinates for the geocache are incorrect.
The afternoon consisted of a long exploratory EVA. The Commander, Engineer, and XO explored the area around the HAB and also evaluated the precision and dexterity of working in an EVA suit through archery. It was determined that accuracy can still be achieved within the constraints of a spacesuit.
Continuation of experiments also consisted of the psychophysiological analysis on crewmembers and measurements of effluent from the sedimentary water filters.
Tomorrow will consist of another full day of experiments on Mars and EVAs such as Satellite Comparison Study and Sandstorm Rover evaluation.
