Commander's Report
Virgiliu Pop Reporting
The virtual visitors who had the curiosity to watch the webcams
which opened the MDRS hab to the world this morning, were able to see the
silhouette of a bearded man making pancakes for his valiant crew.
It's cooking day here on Mars, and Virgil changed yet again into
Captain Cook - to the joy of the RoMars team.
Let's jump time, not
subject, and let's talk a bit about this evening, when the same
captain prepared Chinese food out of dehydrated minced beef duly
labeled 'Crew 98'. No, our stay at the MDRS is not about eating and
eating and again eating - but the food study is a part of the
simulation, and we are happy to share with the world how omelets
are cooked in Martian gravity.
We have invited the 99-ers to lunch
when they will arrive to replace us this Saturday (in the MDRS
tradition) - they are in for a Romanian treat, this time cooked by the
ladies!
Other than this, the lady scientists went on yet another EVA
under the brilliant sun Mars shares with the Earth, and returned at
dusk. The same lady scientists are eager to watch tonight's moon
through the binoculars just acquired by a crew member. We are in a confined
environment, and Iulia just caught the astronomy bug from
Haritina.
Nothing else to report. Good night, Earth, wherever you are
(apparently, just opposite Mars, behind the Sun).
