EVA 3 Report

Crew Members: Heidi Beemer, Donna Viola, Kevin Newman

Site Location: N 38.39203, W 110.79058 and N38.49201 W 110.79058

Transit Mode: ATV

Objectives: Collect our first MFC soil sample, Collect endolith samples and stop at a possible Martian shelter location for data collection on the way back.

Results: We collected our first MFC soil sample at a river bed of the above coordinates. Donna collected two endolith samples and one hypolith sample for her experiment. RMR data was collected at the sandstone over hang off of Lowell rd for future investigation of a possible shelter location.

Lessons Learned: Do not leave the bag carrying your samples on the ground and walk 500 m away from it. You will have to go back and get it.
