Sukrit Ranjan Reporting
Today, crew 99 started its science mission! We started the day with
stupendous chocolate-chip-banana-walnut pancakes, prepared by chefs
Donna and Kevin.
After breakfast, we dispatched Heidi, Donna and Kevin
on EVA to take soil samples for our Microbial Fuel Cell (MFC). Max
stayed back to prepare the MFC, while Sukrit and Andie prepared for
the first round of tests on the Mission Planner tool.
After a bracing
lunch of chili and tortillas, Sukrit and Andie went on EVA to Cougar
Hill to do a first test of the Mission Planner. They were later joined
by Heidi for an ATV survey of the north for further follow-up.
Team
LAMBDA ended the day with a highly experimental pizza prepared by our
master chefs. A satisfying meal later, LAMBDA settled back for an
evening of personal work and preparation for the morrow. Another
satisfying day on Mars!
