The Mars Society Public Outreach Group exists to mobilize support for aggressive private and government-funded Mars exploration programs, to clear up the misunderstandings that have plagued discussions about Mars for decades, and to show the world the support that the public has for Mars exploration.
 

This is a particularly exciting time for setting up booths at movie theaters because of the two Mars-related movies came out recently. However, this is an outreach activity that can be done for any space-related movie. The Boston NSS, for example, has had success with booths at movies like "Star Wars: The Phantom Menace". Although a bit over the top, this advice for setting up displays will get you through the entire process.

We are starting a national radio campaign to provide much needed publicity. Although this sounds expensive and time consuming, it need not be if we get enough interested volunteers because college and other small local radio stations are often eager for content.
