Two major motion pictures depicting missions to Mars will be released in the year 2000:

Mission to Mars View the Trailer	March 10, 2000
Red Planet	November 10

These movies are fantastic opportunities for public outreach.

On a limited scale, a number of Mars Society chapters, as well a few chapters from other organizations, have set up tables at movie theaters when  space related movies were playing. For example, the Rocky Mountain chapter set up a table at a theater when The Phantom Menace was playing and has developed a checklist  to help other chapters.

We hope to use this strategy on a larger scale.  We would like chapters around the country to contact local movie theaters and arrange to have Mars Society display tables set up at these theaters.
