December 10, 1999

The original bid date of 30 November was extended to allow some additional bidders to compete for the opportunity to construct the hab.

September 29, 1999.

The new Task Force secure members area has been created. Current members will receive instructions on how to access the area in the near future.

September 28, 1999.

On Saturday, October 30, Dr. Pascal Lee will be conducting a public lecture, concerning the Mars Arctic Research Station. All are encouraged to attend this talk on the human exploration of Mars and Canada, 3 PM, at the University of Toronto's Medical Sciences Auditorium, 1 King's College Circle. Students pay $2, all others $5. For more information visit the Toronto web site.

September 12, 1999.

Preperations are underway by Pascal Lee and the Mars Society arctic task force to finalize the design of MARS so that the base is built on time and on budget.

This web site has been completely redesigned so that as progress is made on this project you will have the opportunity to stay informed. This page will serve as a "What's New" for the project, so visit often.
